Yep, nice choice in temp! I thought at first they were a lil' too blue for my taste, I was just looking for a hint. But, Im overall happy with mine. Im just so damn paranoid still about blinding people. When I pass someone riding beside me, and their whole head "lights up", not cool. I gotta figure this projector thing out. I don't even know some good search phrases for ebay, I can't really find much.

Did you go with the bi-xenon kit? I wish I had've. How bout the flickering, any problems yet? Thats something else that bugs the complete sh*t outta me, people thinking Im flashing them, lol. I guess I gotta try that resistor trick, hopefully it'll work.

BTW, I went with HIDextra too, just trying to compare to someone elses.....

edit 2: what amp are ya running to those R's? Are they 12's? I love mine, but my box is pitiful. Bottoms out my R's, even with my "little" amp pushing them. Just curious as to your setup.....

I got the Bi-Xenon kit. and i have the same problem! I was going down the rode an they flicker lol its funny cause people think im flashing them but i'm not.. Lol like this guy cut me off today an my lights flickered an he got ticked. haha. what is the resistor trick? Do your brights hit the ground when you turn yours on?

what box are you running? An i'm running type r's to. an my amp is 2400 watts, it clams to be 2400 watts. but its not lol i just bought it from ebay 80 bucks, and I know 1 fuse wont feed 2400 watts it would need about 2-3 fuses in it.. like real brands would have.. but it does the trick kinda.. I'm bout to sell my old ported fox box cause I got the new one, it just made the bass more to the ground an deeper.. I'm going to move from ported to enclosed boxes next it seems from what I heard enclosed are perfect for rams since they got that small space an thats what enclosed is good for.. so I guess i'm going to give it a whirl.

I'm not sure the particular brand box it is, its just kinda small. Its ported, but I think it mind be hindering me too.

Yeah, if its an offbrand amp, Its likely not even putting out 1000 true watts. If it does, its some nast distorted power, like my amp would If I cranked it up all the way (600w amp, but will pump out 1000w if I ask it to).

Heres some pics of my current sub box. It was originally a 12's box, but I popped the Memphis's within 48 hrs! SO, I installed some 10in ring spacers so I could run the 10s outta the same box, but no pics of that setup yet...

How much ya selling your foxbox for? I might be interested. I wish I had the expertise to just build my own fiberglass setup. If the price was right, I might be interested. Im just used rattling my eyeballs with my stereo systems, these lil 10's and box and 600w amp is a total 180*.

Back to the original topic...... The resistor trick is splicing in some 20w, 8ohm (I believe) resistors, to mimic the 55w pull that the computer is used to using (HIDs use 35w). I just can't remember if this is for 05-, or 06+, or both. And no......my highs dont go "down", but they are the halogens when I go to highbeam. Im not sure why yours are doing that bud, not much help there. Call Michelle, see if maybe she might have something for ya? (HIDextra lady). Good luck with it man, and let me know about that box. I aint gonna BS ya, funds are tight, but if I could get rida mine, its on like donkey kong!!

You can't switch to projectors after buying HIDs because the projectors will use different bulbs. They have separate low and high beam bulbs vs. the single bulb the stocker uses.

You find projectors on ebay almost instantly by searching for: ram projector

Hey John,

According to several members here, I could use halogen projectors for my HIDs, although not ideal, they do provide a clearer cutoff. From what I understand, a retro-fit HID projector housing Thanks for the search help, for sure. Im not too savvy when it comes to searching some stuff.

VERY possible I'm mistaken though, Im basically riding off of what I've read from DirtyDogs's posts. Maybe you can enlighten me as to why it wouldnt work? Would the projector housing just not accept the differnt slots/grooves of the "stock" housings? Im still learning, and half-crocked at the moment, so please excuse any excess ignorance, lol. I 'preciate your help, I'm not by any means denouncing (is that a word?) your theory, I just like to hear ALL sides.....

Edit: the first part of this post doesnt make much sense, and to be honest, Im not even sure what I meant, lol. I think I didn't finish that 2nd sentence. Either way, thanks again for your input. I searched ebay, and just now came to a realization. I assumed the "retro fit" meant modifying my stock headlights with other projectors. I guess I could buy aftermarket projector lights and maybe thay might work? Lol, I need to go to bed beforeI make more of a fool of myself......

I think john is talking about the bulbs will be different. HID's in the stock houseing has different bulbs from HID's in the projector housing.

I'm not sure yet. lol It's the old ported fox box tho. But that looks like a ebay box but i'm not sure, and your port in your box looks super small compared to mine, lol I'm going to try an enclosed box next whenever I can get my hands on one. So I might sell the new ported foxbox to. But I will keep you updated bout that. I wish I could build my own box to. Lol! but my friend makes really good boxes so I might get him to help me make an enclosed one if I cant find a foxbox one.. I might even run 12's or something.. I just want more bass than I got lol, its like a drug!

But I guess I will call Michelle and ask her.. had more flickering today. well they flicked once.. an it always has to be when people cut me off Lol. It sucks that my brights are being weird and won't go bright cause when people flash (friends or once in awhile if someone flashes cause of my lights) I can't flash back, well I can't it just hits the ground an looks stupid like there bout to fall out lol.

Exactly! You won't be able to use the same bulbs so it saves money if you buy the new projector lights first, then the HIDs to go in them. That's what I'm doing.
