i dig the flares too but i'm just not sure how they will look on my truck since its not super lifted. one of the reasons i want flares is because i hate the factory molded flaps... but they have worn into the paint so i cant take them off..

what are your opinions on the hood?

i think you need painted flares and the flat in the scoop would look cool too, nothing noticeable, but a nice subtle touch

Dude I totally would rock some flares if I were you. Not the finish off the fender wells much better and now that you have a wider tire wheel combo it would work very well. I have a 3inch lift on my truck with 35`s which should equate to your truck with the lift and body. The flare really compliment the truck. Also as much as you might not like it I think you should buy some nice high quality rubber mudflaps, Reall what would you rather see some properly installed mudflaps or contrasting rock ships on your black paint. The flares alone will not protect a lifted truck with big meats. My spelling might be ****ed as im drunk as **** but keep in mind my pionts they do kinda mightr make sense.

Personally I like the rivet style,if your painting them go smooth,if you are not painting go with the textured ones. I am looking into similar rivet style ones myself.

powerwagons dont do anything more than give off looks. the other flares (extend a fender or pockets) give protection and looks. if your main concern is protection i would do flares and 3M clear mylar film. i lined my rockers in it, and no rock chips! and best of all you cant see the film even up close!
