So yesterday on my way to my class my check engine light came on. When I got home I read the code with my SC and it said P0420 Catalyst Efficiency (Bank 1). So I cleared the code but it came back on again today on my way to work. So does anybody know what this code means? Do I have a bad oxygen sensor or is it something else?

I saw on the dodge talk website that there was a sticky with all the trouble codes. I never actually opened up the thread to see if it gave a description of each but its worth a try to check it out

 

Call your local dodge place and tell them you went to autozone and had the code read. You would like to know what it is and how much it will cost. The how much it will cost part is important because it makes them think you are going to want the work done by them. But we all prefer to keep all of a limbs. And then you can introduce a new DIY if the Faq section of how you fixed your problem.
