Exclamation New Manifold!

So yesterday I went to have the truck inspected thought no problem I take good care of the truck pretty well. The rear tiers were questinlble He then puts the truck on the lift he calls me over the 2 lower bolts that hold the exhaust manifold on rusted right off and there is one large bolt there also and that to is rusted right off!! I couldnt belivie it my mechanice said its beacause dodge uses plastic manifolds and cheap bolts when they built the hemi. So I want to get a better manifold the truck not big mony. The truck is completly stock so depending on the manifold willing to do other upgrades. Can anyone help me out I dont want stock!

Yeah a lot of guys have issues with the stock bolts, especially in northern states. As far as "plastic manifolds", your mechanic is an a$$, the exhaust manifolds are not plastic. Intake manifolds can be made out of plastic (Furd recently settled a big class action suit regarding theirs cracking), but your exhaust manifolds are cast.

As far as replacement with a better quality product, sounds like it's HEADER time to me...

www.shopheaders.com
if you go with lt's youll have some custom exhaust work to do. if you go with shortys they should be bolt right up to the stock y-pipe making it much eaiser

Before you go with LT, Make sure they will pass inspection. Lot of states won't allow LT headers. A set of shorties should be a direct fit.
