So i drove about 400km today (at 130km/h) filled up (on 87) before i left and then before i came back, everything is ok!, get about half way home and my check engine light came on, so i got off at the nearest service station and check the code P2096. Check under the hood check fluid levels everything was ok. I got home looked up the code, "Downstream fuel system 1/2 lean". So i drove to the gas station and put in 1/3 of a tank of 91 turned the truck on and my check engine light was off

1. Should i still get it looked at?
2. Do you guys think it was bad gas? (i do)
3. Should i put in an injector cleaner?

 

Come on someones got to have a bit of input

 

87 in a Hemi? tisk tisk... The code went away, you didn't clear it? I wouldn't worry about it unless it came back.

 

ya the code just went away on its own, and the owners manual calls for 87!!

 

Yeah 87 is fine for the truck. I have an 08 hemi and run 87 as well. as for the light don't worry about it unless it comes back. I just had my check engine light come on it stayed on for 2 days and shut off. I think Dodge has an on-board mechanic or something that makes the truck fix it's self lol.
