Default power steering problems

hi I have a 2005 dodge ram 1500 and I recently developed power steering problems. It seems that when I'm at idle I don't have any powersteering but as soon as I'm at even a 1000 rpm i have it again altough it does feel sluggish and it sounds like the powersteering is working extra hard. I do have enough fluid so I don't know what it can be.

pump is going out. if you hear whinning when cranking and a ton of it when fully cranked its definitely your pump. too much experience with the ps pump goin out. I had to replace rack with second pump cause fragments didn't all come out the first time.

they now only sell the pump as a whole. found that out the hard way. its the wheel, pump, and reservoir. I believe it ran me about 137 I think. plus free install cause I did it myself lol
