Default What would cause this ???

I was driving down the road and it was like i was hitting a pot hole after pot hole on the right front side... Slowing down didn't make the problem stop.. I pulled off the road and looked at the wheels nothing seemed out of place.. So i took off again and as soon as i got back on the road it started rigt away and all of a sudden it stop as if nothing happened... I asked a few guys that i work with about it and one said something about the struts or ball joints.... I at first thought it was the tires being out of balance and went and had thoes balanced and that didn't fix the problem.. Does anyone know what could cause this ?

id lean towards ball joints, but anythings possible.. Jack up the truck so the tires off the ground, grab the top of the tire with one hand and the bottom with the other.. alternate pulling and pushing.. it should have little play.. get someone to lay under the truck and look at the balljoints, if they are screwed you will know.. of stick a big bar under the tire and pull up that will also show any play..

Yeah, check out the ball joints. Also, if your truck is 4wd don't rule out the hub bearings.

I was reading something other day about how the rotors on the 2006 ram 1500 how they warp really fast. Has anyone else read, heard, or had this happen to them ?

I havent heard anything about that but I dont read much about the trucks other then whats said on this forum. Warped rotors wont give you a bang like your describing when driving, you will only feel vibrations in the pedal when braking..
