we all know they use less power (excluding start up) and yes they produce less heat, but the light is the issue (kinda like a laser). I don't really know why, but ive seen it a few times and none on halogen bulbs. See if this makes any sense:

What I was thinking was the bulb is behind the projector lens. The bulb would heat up the projector lens, but the heat wouldn't really go any farther than that, maybe dissipated throughout the housing. Everything is focused in one spot from the convex lens, so with the 35w 6000k bulb it would be putting 300% more light output with the stock housing, all focused in a dollar piece sized area. Who knows how much light is put there with a projector? probably 600-800% or more than its meant for?

Im just talking out my ***, but sounds like it would affect something? and with 55w going into a 35w bulb, it would heat up but couldn't put out any more than 35w right? Ive had 35w in my heads/fogs since September 07, with no problems though

Well my question is why would the sell projector head lights that come with xenon hid kits on the internet? If you do a search on google you can find projector lenses that come with xenon hid kits.
