Joe, why do you want to run the tuner and gauge at the same time? Are you talking about running the splitter so you don't have to unplug the gauge to tune your truck or running both the gauge and tuner while the truck is in motion for the purpose of datalogging?
Well, if it works I was planning on making a mount for the tuner and keeping both the tuner and the gauge running at the same time for data logging purposes. Such as recording 0-60 times with the tuner while monitoring the readings on the gauge. Also, my thought was, since I have this expensive tuner I might as well try to use it the most I can so while driving, the tuner would normally be setup to display 4 parameters running constantly while the interceptor would then flash back and forth between 8 different parameters. I figured that as long as the two didnt try and monitor the same 12 parameters, the CAN bus would work fine but I really don't know. Guess I may just have to try it and find out.
Oh and there may be another problem. I can't find a sleep mode to enable in the superchips so from what I noticed, the superchips won't turn off after I shut down the truck. Is the gauge the same way or will it turn off after a certain amount of time?
From the videos I've seen of the gauge in action it doesn't look like it turns on until the key is on. I can't imagine the gauge would be on in any other situation. As far as the SC, I don't believe there is a sleep mode. Plus, the AI can monitor everything the SC can as well as do the timed runs according to the info on their site.
Yea, well, if I can't find a way to get the superchips to turn off while being plugged in I'm not gunna bother. Until I get some good tint on the fronts, I don't want anything glowing in my truck while its parked LOL
