Default long haul

i will be driving the truck and towing a 6x12 trailer from Michigan to New Mexico on Feb 1st.
Im just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for things to do before leaving.
I just got my plugs done and new sway bar bushings, tires rotated ,and tomorrow putting in some fresh Amsoil in, and getting new wipers.
any other advice?

maybe check over the belts to see if they are cracked or worn. check the other fluids PS Brake fluid, tranny fluid.

take a gallon of distilled water with you incase you need to top off the coolant, a large can of fix-a-flat, just some emergency stuff just in case something happens. the worst things always happen on the side of a highway...

good luck

I usually pre-mix a jug of coolant 70/30 and keep it in my tool box, and have a jug of distilled. I have had to use both before when a buddies truck over heated.

Sounds about Like you have everything right. Pack a set of wrenches some bungee's duct tape and maybe a hammer. I always pack these things on a road trip and thankfully have never had to use them. Make sure your trailer has a spare and you have a wrech to do a change. Your rig should do just fine its new and seems well maintained but there is always murphy's law right...
