Default rear diff question

I'm getting frustrated trying to track this down. I've been reading here, and I've checked wikopedia, and google, and you name it.....

How do I find out what rear end/gear ratio I have? I didn't buy it new, so I don't know if it's stock or not. The sticker in the glove box says it's LSD.

Is it marked somehow on the diff? Is there markings or shapes or some kind of configuration that shows for each style?

One option is to take the VIN number to a dodge dealership and ask for a build sheet. It will tell you all the options that were on the truck when new.

The glove box sticker should also tell you what ratio it is. Or at least it should have more info then just Lsd. Maybe some numbers before it? The stealership is a good bet with the vin.

You always could get one on the Dodge website and request one, under the "For Owners" section

Also look at the sticker under the hood.

how about putting it in neutral, lifting the rear off the ground, spin the tire one full rotation, and see how many times the drive shaft spins.
