Headlight bulb size and HID ????

Headlight bulb size and HID ????
I have found many posts on here about HIDs and bulb size... And as sad as it is I have confused myself. What is the stock size for the headlight bulbs and when I go to buy the HIDs do I get the same size Kit? Thanks for all the info in adavance.

Stock bulb size for an 06 ram is 9008, if you want to put HIDs in the stock headlight housings you are going to need that size, if you check out the marketplace there is a site sponsor HID Extra that can hook you up.
