Default Faulty code question.

I get a code: P 1491 (radiator fan relay). My question is can still drive with that faulty relay? Or I should change it as soon as possible? And also can somebody explain to me how to check if relay is the problem?

Thanks

We need more info: What year and engine Ram do you have? I believe Rams have always used a mechanical engine cooling fan, so you should be OK to drive it. The only electric cooling fan i'm aware of on these trucks are the A/C condenser fans. Check to make sure you have power to the relay, if YES, replace relay. If NO, find out why there is no power to relay.

I've had that code before, and its not a relay. Its a blown fuse.. Look under the lid and look for it. Its a number 10 fuse, says I think radiator cooling fan

I will check that fuse. For the past couple months my fan was ON all the time when my car was parked, and it was loud is this can be the problem?

Is this code from your Ram or a car? Like Nightrunner said, these are mechanical fans run off the motor so the only fan you have is on the ac. Unless you've put an e-fan on yourself.
