I am sure you run a reputable business, and I am not saying you don't. All I am saying is if you can't do an alignment on a vehicle with a slight modification like cranking the t-bars, then there is something wrong. I understand turning away a vehicle that has been modified to the point it is dangerous, but come on we are talking about a small change. I even had my ball joints done by a dealer, who not only lifted it back where I wanted it but did the alignment also. I will qualify this by saying aftermarket moog joints were put in not crappy stock ones lol!!

The point is I think that a trained alignment technician can align a vehicle with out a book telling him what settings to go by!

I totally agree with what 05ramman is saying. The first part of any GOOD alignment is to check and adjust ride height on a t-bar front suspension. Then set cas/cam and finally toe then recheck and re-adjust as necessary...
A good shop will do all of these things and have a happy safe customer. A reputable shop will advise a customer of what is needed and if the customer would rather the job be done unsafely they should suggest they take it elsewhere.
That being said it is possible to get a vehicle within spec as far as cas/cam and toe goes with it up an inch or so... Is the alignment done properly???
If it were my shop I would probably redo it for a small charge and spin up the t-bars. But not for free, the alignment will take time and I am running a business not a church...

I am thinking if you are running a business not a Church, then you would ask your customer if that is where he wants the t-bars instead of just assuming they want them back down. My first question to you as a customer to a shop owner would be, how in the hell do you think they got cranked? Then why did you not call and discuss it with me before you did the alignment. Since you took it upon yourself to CHANGE the ride height of my vehicle, I expect you to put it back and align it like I paid you to do in the first place.

You would be surprised at how much the alignment and weight distribution changes when you crank it. Like I said, We can compensate now, however, there are alot of so called alignments out there that were thought to be good that are still way out of wack.

Try this, get your truck aligned by a an older shop somewhere, You know, some shop that does alignments but has older equipment and hopefully an experienced tech. Even suggest that you tell the tech that if he can get it right it will net you a free beer. Then find a nice 4 wheeler shop somewhere, One that can afford the software to compensate and just have them check it for you, Probably won't cost anything just to check it and give you the numbers. Ill buy you a beer if at least caster and cam aren't in the red at the 4 wheeler shop

UPDATE!
Talked to the guy who did my alignment. He said That he tried to align it with it lifted but my caster was an 1in 1/2 out and he couldn't bring it he ran out of notches to put it in the green if was to leave it it would hav torn my tiers up. And one side had droped an 1in on the drivers side and that bolt was cranked all the way in. So he realy only droped the front an inch. He told me that really isnt the best way to lift the truck since it throws my caster out so much he told me to get the leveling kit and mabby there is a caster adjustment that has more play than the one that is on my truck. I told him that next time instead of just doing somehting like that to call me to tell me why he has to do what he did. He said that he wasn't going to do a half *** job and he stands by the work he does. this shop hasn't fked me over befor so I know what he did was for a good reason. Im just going to get a 6in lift next year

Yeah me to. told I was going to do the 6in lift and he said he would recommend that instead of cranking the bars. So just going to have to wait to make the truck Bad ***
