Ive seen some that a guy did and sanded off the 6.1 and I was going to do this until I got mine and see the letters are raised and it you sand them down you will be adding body filler and doing a lot more sanding and painting.

Uh............no thanks. Mine are fine as they are. I dont have that much time on my hands to give several days worth of work to some valve cover covers......LOL

BTW, as for how these attach, these (like most things) are modded and retro-ed to fit. I didnt take any pics but all the mounts on the underside have to bt cut away and then sanded down (dremel, cutting disc and sanding drum = 5-7mins) and then I wiped them down with alcohol as well as my coils and applied industrial velcro. Well see how it holds up to the heat under the hood.

That looks bad a$$ dude! after reading your cam swap thread it looks like i found a new mod in the near future. just gotta do more research and ask a buddy of mine who has a lot more knowledge in motor work to help. sweet ride!
