Default Heater Problem?

Whenever I change my vents from the front air blowing out the front vents to defrost it takes approximately 6-7 seconds for it to actually switch. It also does this when I go from cool to warm. I have the 2007 Hemi. I have mentioned this twice when taking it in for service and they said they tried 3 other trucks and it happened on all of them. Does this happen to anyone else and if my heater goes out after the truck is out of warranty would it still be covered since I have brought this problem up before?

Same problem with mine. Its seems wrong but thats the way it is, I guess. If I switch the fan controller straight to high from off, with out stopping in between, it won't kick on. I have to turn off then go speed by speed.
