Default size of dodge ram engine bay?

does anyone know the size of the engine bay? Basically I'm trying to figure out what the largest engine would fit into the truck with or without modification? its 2005 third generatoin ram 1500 but I believe all the rams have the same engine bay as far as 1500 2500 and 3500. thank you

2002 to 2008 1500 have the same size engine bay. In 2002 just for fun, Mopar put a 528 2G crate hemi in the (then) new quad cab body and let some magazines play with it. So they made it fit (you can search for the articles, I want to say Popular Hot Rodding had it for awhile) and work, though it had no working gauges except for like 3 aftermarket jobs. So a second gen 426 derived hemi can be made to fit. No Mopar engine is as wide (not even 1G 392 Chrysler) as a 426 (which is why it was called the elephant motor, cars were designed around IT).
