How about having Auto Zone compare part numbers between 2x and 4x4 racks. I am 12 time zones away from my 03 2wd or I would take measurements and send pictures. Mostly determine if there is a difference between them. Maybe you have a different year rack, I would see how many racks were used say between 03 and 07.

very possible. but without old rack I can't trace down info. its still just so confusing as in how and why the old rack fit but oem ones don't. ill find out more tomorrow. got the 4x4 rack coming in.
