I'm surprised no one dropped in to say that their dad's stock ram would blow right through the mud.

Lot of old farm boys round here with 2WD trucks do fine in moderate mud. Most have a bit of a lift for ground clearance (a necessity with farm field trucks), aggressive tires and a good limited slip in the rear. Hell, I've hog hunted with an old boy, went places I wasn't so sure my truck would make it through...

ill bet a bagged truck could make it through the mud on 2 cylinders and 4 flats with out the tranny...lol
