The high heat spray wont work on the headers, they'll just peel off. Buy them for the 280 and send them off to be jethot coated for $150.

The stock cats will work fine just open them up to a 3" instead of the 2.5", thats what we did for mine and they are great. almost look stock.

If you go with the pacesetter Y weld that bitch up!!! It leaks like an SOB with tjust the clamps.

Teach theLT's ABSOLUTLELY make you run lean, get the wideband in there and see for yourself. Dont just assume that its running fine.

half the people i talk to say the coating isnt needed the other half say it is, i dont know who to listen to now. Teach yours are painted arent they, how do those seem to be holding up?

 

As soon as I find a good price on the wideband kit for the interceptor I will find out for sure how it is running.

What A/F were you running after you installed the LT's?

 

A/F at WOT should be around 12 and mine was running in the low 13's and I had 2.1 KR in the low end and 1.4 kR in the top. Had to add about 6% more fuel to get it to run right.

Nope, not with the Superchips, I believe that you can email them and have them adjust it though.

 

My opinion, forget the headers for now and spend the $ on a decent 110v mig welder, you can get a nice one from Northern Tool for under $400 with the gas adapter as well.
Then practice a bit with it and you'll never again have the constraints of not being able to do the work yourself. If you can solder, you can run a mig with acceptable results with just a few hours of practice.

Then you can save for the LTs and do the job yourself, along with most repairs on the vehicle/around the house. Hell, I've paid for my MIG 5x over with just little gate repairs, exhaust work, etc, in the last couple of years I've had it...

 

If you email SC they can adjust it but you need to have a datalog showing A/F. They also need the log to show tp% and engine rpm I believe.
