Default Movement in electric seat

I have a 2003 Ram 1500 with electric driver side seat. When I come up to a stop the seat moves forward just a bit and then moves back when I stop. This is very annoying so going to pull the seat and take a look see. Before I pull the seat has anyone had this problem? If so, what is the cause and what is the correction? It must be with the motor and rack or something loose or warn?? Any thoughts and help would be appreciated. Thanks - Charlie

This was a common problem on the early Durangos. My '98 did it, and it was quite disconcerting until you got used to it. The only fix I ever heard of involved welding.

I haven't seen it mentioned here on the Rams.

My ram does the same thing. I've just gotten use to it. It seems really solid even though it does have a little play in it.

I put a 04 electric SLT Laramie seat (eBay) in my 03 about 5 years ago and it doesn't move. Could it be the mounting bolts loose?

No, the mounting bolts are not loose as that was the first (easy) thing I checked. Seems to be in the electric movement stuff?
