Belt Slipping While Off Roading??
I was off roading in the snow the other night with some buddies... It was pretty deep anyway truck did fine but when i was just haulin through the snow my volt meter would go down i would loss power steering and would have to stop and rev the truck till i assume my belt kicked in again or something so we had enough and we were leaving and going through some massive snow so couldt really stop well this time i new something was up cuz the volt meter went right down to nothing no powersteering and the truck was heatin up quick.... there is snow in the engine bay .... So do you think it could be cuz im missing like half a wheel well or bad pulley or bad belt?
You just packed enough snow into the engine compartment to get the belt to slip. I've had it happen on my 03 work pickup running on a call through the deep stuff. I just kept it going so the belt had a chance to start turning again.
hmmm ok thats what i kinda figured that the snow was interfering kinda of a **** off.... but im from regina..... i just wish there was a way to fix it cuz it funn rippin through the snow but no so fun when ur fightin the truck cuz theres no power steering and she wants to over heat
