Default 02 4.7 4x4 5 speed stalls

I got a 02 ram 4.7 4x4 5 speed that stalls while coming to a stop. I clutch the truck and sometimes it will drop to around 300 rpm and come back up or it will stall. I have a check engine code which is p0455. I dont think it the clutch because i can clutch and put in neutral and it will still stall. Any suggestions?

Possibly the EGR Valve; "if there is too much EGR flow at idle, cruise or during cold running conditions, the engine will stop after a cold start, stop at idle after deceleration, surge during cruising speeds or idle roughly. if there is too little EGR flow, combustion chamber temperature can become to high during acceleration or under heavy load, which can cause spark knock (detonation) and/or engine overheating" - Haynes repair manual Page 6-32.

My guess is that the EGR valve is faulty, and stuck open..check your electrical connections..
Also, your error code doesnt exist in the Haynes manual..

P0455 code is Evap Leak Monitor Large Leak Detected. check your evap hoses and what not. someone posted a really nice evap "map" on here a while back... maybe you can find that by using the search function, or maybe someone will post it for ya. but i doubt it... theres a buncha lazy bastards on here j/k
