cv and hub problems
well several house later the 2 ton press did not work with tons of heat. so we did it the redneck way, cut parts of the hub off with the torches chained the cv shaft to the floor and used the forklift to rip it apart. amazingly we saved the lower control arm and the knuckle looks like ill have to go buy a cv shaft and i already have a new hub..thank you all for your tips. after tearing it apart brutaly we seen the cv shaft splines were twisted and it even twisted the hub splines which held that sucker in their tight.
Ah well man, with that kind of twist damage that CV was never going to come off.
Good job on your behalf. Can you imagine the $'s a stealership would charge to sort that out?
Wiith the savings you've made just on the labour alone, you can probably buy a new hub and CV shaft etc.
