Default 2007 4.7 to replace 2003 4.7 with spun bearing

I bought a 2003 Ram QC with the 4.7, and it has a spun rod bearing I believe. It knocks pretty bad! I knew it before I bought the truck. Anyway, I have search all the engine swap threads, and come to the conclusion that replacing the 4.7 is the most practical. I can pick up a 2007 4.7 with 22k for around a grand. Will I be able to swap all my existing electronics from the old engine to the newer engine without too much headache? Thanks in advance!!

I don't know 4.7 engines, but this sounds like a simple replacement not a real swap. I'm thinking bolt up.

It should all bolt up. It is the same engine. I am just sceptical about all the electronics. It seems like Dodge engineers like to screw with the shade tree mechanics and change everything from year to year from what I have read on here!

Swap your exisiting electronics to the new engine. You may have to transfer your intake and other accessories over to the new engine. I'm not sure if they are the same. Anyway, it shouldn't be a huge deal. I think the engine long blocks are the same.
