Maintenance Questions?
Hello all, I am new to this forum and I'm hoping to find some answers to same questions. I own a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with a 5.7L Hemi. My last trip to the dealer was for an oil change at 30k. After the oil change the service guy recommended some services for my next visit. They are as follows:
Thanks.
- Hemi Tune Up $265
- Fuel Induction Service $125
- 4x4 Fluid Service $225
Thanks.
The manual says to run at least 89 to make the Hemi live a long healthy life, the tune up is probably just a TB cleaning, plugs, wires, and maybe EGR. All that is stuff you can do in your driveway in a couple hours. Not sure what the fuel induction thing is unless thats just a fancy way of saying cleaning the injectors. The 4x4 fluid is prolly changin your diff fluid which can also be done yourself for much cheaper and I'm sure the transfer case isn't hard to service either. Look around in the FAQ's and I'm sure you can find DIY's for everything I said.
Btw welcome to DF, you'll be able to have just about any question you have answered concerning 3rd gen Ram's. Also we are picture lovers so if you have pics, might as well post em up.
