Default 285s on 10in wide rims...

Long story short: Im goin back to a smaller tire, dont like my 35in pro comps they're too hard on the truck. Soooo....i have 17x10 REV wheels and lookin for input on running 285s on those. I know most manufaturers recomend 9.5 wide rim MAX for a 285 but there arent lot of 305s or 315s that im interested in.
Those of you running similar tire/rim combos let me know what you think!

not sure of the stock wheel dimensions, but i have 285's on those and they've never been a problem.

Not sure, that would be pretty wide. Have you thought about re-gearing to 4.56s to help that 4.7 push those tires? What type of tire are you interested in? Guess it's just rare to hear someone wanting to go smaller/narrower.
