How much of a difference is it?
So I want to put a Gibson dual sport exhuast system on my truck. I called a few places and one guy says he'll sell of for me for 550. The other guy said he can't fond it for my truck and suggested me to by a Gibson muffler and tips and get this guy to install it, which would only cost a few hundred. So my question istht is there any difference in power between the 2 that noticable? Andbwhich one should I choose?
I bought mine off of ebay for $435 shipped and put it on myself in less than 2 hours. Go to the Gibson website and search by truck model and find the part number for that exhaust for your truck and then go on ebay and search "Gibson +partnumber".
Do you have the 20" wheels on your truck? If so, you might want to go with the custom job with the muffler as one of my pipes was too close to the spare and Gibson couldn't do anything about it. All I did was put a heat wrap on the pipe and I'm fine but it was additional hassle and expense. A custom job can route the pipes away from the tire. If you don't have 20's, it shouldn't be an issue.

i have 17 inch wheels and i see your point, but it cheaper just puttin on a muffler and some tips but how much of a difference is it gonna be from a regular dual sport kit. will it be enough to say its not worth it? or should i go with a superchips flashpaq? the guy at the shop said to go with an exhaust first, does it really matter what goes first in my truck?
It doesn't matter whether you do a tuner or exhaust first. The difference between the cat back and a custom setup using the same muffler and tips is probably only gonna be that the pipes wouldn't be mandrel bent on the custom one. Ask the guy how much for a custom mandrel bent set up w/ the gibson parts.
