But that would suck ******* to get your tailgate stolen. My old Ford got broken into 3 times in 3 nice neighborhoods. The would just stick a screwdriver under the doorhandle. Cut my alarm twice too! I wish I woulda known about JimmiJammers then

BTW, why dont our trucks have locking tailgates? Every truck Ive owned has had them until the Ram
My Florida CWP is valid for 5 years, the new CWP is good for 7 years. I think the permit is around $117, which isn't bad. If you have an address or live in LA and have a FL CWP you might run into trouble. Fl CWP is only issued to Fl residents. So move back to the SUNSHINE STATE. HAHA

No with the way the agreement works, I can live here and get a FL CWP. Ours is 150 and doesn't last near as long, so it pays to get yours. A guy here does the class and its like 125 total I think. I never lived in FL. I have the LA one but have to renew it, and might as well do the FL thing

This is directly from the Florida CWP licensing site. Question 1. I have a Florida CWP, but I'm not a legal resident of Florida. Can I travel to states that recognize Florida CWP and still carry a concealed weapon?
Answer. Most of the reciprocity states will honor Florida non-resident permits; however authorities in a number of states have informed us that there are specific provisions in their laws that restrict the terms of their mutual recognition agreements ONLY to the LICENSED RESIDENTS of other states. Therefore, those individuals who hold FL CWP but who are not residents of FL cannot carry concealed weapons in these states. Please take careful note of those states listed above that have a reference to Footnote 4 after them. Colorado,Michigan,New Hampshire and South Carolina

Okay well my LA state trooper workout buddy said that if I, a LA resident, had a FL CWP that it would be honored in LA with no questions asked. I signed up for the class today!

What's better Pop Lock or Bully lock ?

Bully I like the look and keys this one has, but know little about it otherwise.

Pop Lock I had one on my Silverado, didn't use it for a few months and it seemed to seize up. I didn't like the little keys either.

I had the Bully lock on my 2001 Ram. Never a problem with it, other than when I had somebody helping me load something up and they always wanted to try to force the handle to open the tailgate thinking it was stuck until I got a chance to tell them it was just locked.

Sure, any tailgate lock can probably be defeated but the same rule applies as with any lock--it will only keep an honest man out. It's still a heck of a theft deterrent.
