2003 Hemi Ram Professional Tuning
Went to the ProCharger site and a few others selling the ProCharger kits and there doesn't seem to be a kit offered specifically for the 03 Ram 5.7. Will difinitely have to talk to my engine shop when I get home. Anyone with information concerning 03 kits pls post it or PM me.
Thanks,

I went over to the HTC and saw at least a half dozen guys with 2003's running boost whether it was via turbo or SC so looks like I need to join and find some answers. I will resurrect this thread when I get some answers. sound good?
Fortunately with boost you don't need an aggressive cam so tuning can be very easy if you are willing to get creative. I started off using a SMT-6 piggyback and now am using an iEMS3 for all my needs.
frost king I think I saw some of your posts from HTC or they guy had the same avatar lol. Are you in Alberta too? I plan on no cam for right now just the addition of a procharger setup and some methanol to keep the risk of detonation away. So how do these piggy backs work I have a basic understanding of sorts but what adjustablility can I have with a similar setup. Can I do a trans tune aswell. Sorry about playing 20 questions but I know there are more 2k3 guys out there who wanna know.
I have the same avatar on the sites I follow. Frostking ,Darell_N (Cochrane,AB)
A piggyback controller does not modify the program in the truck's computer, but instead modifies the actual signals going to and from the computer. My iEMS3 looks at the fuel injector pulses the PCM is sending and shortens or lengthens the pulses according to what is actually needed. (all without the PCM knowing) Same with ignition timing. I still use superchips for a higher redline and 140 mph speed limiter, though. The nice thing about piggybacks is that they are also capable of running my meth/water injection system, work as a digital boost controller, progressive nitrous, and whatever else you have the imagination to try. The logging and graphing abilities is also 10x more capable than any handheld. My old SMT-6 didn't have all the bells and whistles, but is the same price as most of the handhelds and completely customizable by the end user. Unfortunately, none of these options have any control of the transmission in the '03s. I have started looking at the PCS standalone controller for our transmissions and will hopefully do some testing this summer once I find a few needed parts for my spare transmission. I am looking for a burnt out 45rfe locally if you know of anything.

545rfe or 45 either way I will keep my eyes open for you. Umm there is an autowreckers up here that does newer vehicles and stuff its called lunds i believe they are located in edmonton so definitely give them a call.
How hard are these piggy back controllers to wire in. On one of the websites it said something like 30 minutes which i find hard to believe but what would you put the install time at.

30min - 1hr is reasonable if you've done one before, but I would plan for a whole afternoon otherwise. It takes time to make things neat and tidy and the controller mounted good, etc. The most important thing is to have accurate wiring diagrams for your exact truck as Dodge likes to change everything regularly.
Honestly I could spend a whole day that really does't matter as the closer to OEM it looks the better. Yeah that would be tricky but if I go through with this I will be sure to have the right schematics and all. What mods do you have done to your transmission to hold that kind of power?
HTC = Hemi Truck Club?
SMT-6 = ?
iEMS3 = ?
Thanks,
