Default Another A** Wooping!

So another story about how the fearful dodge beats its competitors!

A work with a young kid, just around the same age as me, im older thought. He commented on my nice new dodge, today he peaked into the interior as we got off work. He thought it was nice, but had no ***** compared to his, he was trying to tell me on how his 98 GMC sierra was pushing 490HP at the wheels!

I told him to open his hood so I could see that massive 350 that he speaks of, he did, all he had was a new intake and air filter. He shined things up nice, looked like all of his belts were changed and he had a new alternator. Other than that I could not tell what else he had done. Might have re-done the cam, and some more inside. However the manifolds and everything were still stock. Heck he still had the air conditioning hooked up! I knew he was not pushing 490WHP, heck what it looked like was a far cry from 350HP. I knew I had him beat.

We travel the same way to go home, so once we got on the secondary highway turnoff, he pulls up against me, we gave it a couple seconds and we let go! I had him beat WAY off the start, hit around 90km/h looking down. 4WD was ENGAGED! I did not turn it off! So being in the lead I slowed down to 60 turned it off, he passed me, I punched it hard, gave it my all. (New tuner made it even better!) The only thing I remember was a little blew half ton was at high revs, making his custom exhaust sound nice, was in my blind spot, then in my rear view mirror, and then he was looking at my nearly stock dodge, and the stock tailpipes.

I will see what he says on Monday when we see each other at work again! :P

Sounds like that wasn't even a close run. And you had him in four wheel drive to boot. nice, very nice, I wouldn't tell him about being in four wheel drive. I'd just tell him you dropped your cell under the seat and had to make a call. %^)

good kill. this is his version of the story:

some kid i work with wanted to admire my gorgeous truck, then thought his puny little stock ram could beat me. i didnt even wanna race cause i knew it wouldnt be fair. we pulled out and the punk took off. i didnt wanna let him think he could beat me so i punched it and passed him (this is the point where you're disengaging 4x4 of course). after i got past him i let off and he goes zoomin by again. haha what a fool. CHEBY FTW!!

Sounds like he was adding up all the bogus claims of horsepower increases from his add-ons. Did he also have a bunch of high-horsepower stickers?

hey that shiny chromed engine bay is good for at least 50 hp!! plus the CAI is 15, the programmer is 100 hp, exhaust is 30,etc. and absolutely zero drivetrain loss, i couldnt totally see this guy having 500 hp rofl

haha, ya being in 4WD i knew if i wanted to go over 110km/h it would not be so nice on my drivetrain, because he had his speed up it got be kinda worried, but once I started gaining ground again i knew i still had a chance with the amount of time we had left!

Yes he did have stickers on his truck, but just ones about GMC being top of the line, no performance product stickers!

490 WHEEL HORSEPOWER! he was telling me! his engine would have had to be pushing over 500...I knew there was no way...but i guess having a clean engine bay and everything painted up all nice makes it have all that increase. I could not see a tuner in the truck, but maybe he removes it and does not have a heads-up display like mine. I gather he probably did, thinking he would be getting around 100! LOL

He can make up all the stories he wants....I murdered him and if I was not in 4wd, he would not even be able to see my smoke i would have been soo far away haha! Im going to ask him for his dyno report :P
