OEM torsion key in wrong???
i was wondering it is possible? i wanted to level my truck like 2 years ago and when i got under it the drivers side bolt was almost maxed out. it only had a couple turns left where as the passenger side had like 1"-1.5" left of turning. and on top of that my truck leanded and the drivers side sat lower. i asked my friend whos a mechanic and he said that maybe my torsion bar was "fatigued" and that i should get a new one. well i blew it off and kept it maxed but lately its been bothering me. ive been doing research and ive come up with three things... 1, theres a very slight chance it is fatigued; 2, the torsion bar is in wrong; or 3, maybe the key is in wrong. i searched here and found a video showing how to do the key lift so i figured id try to see if my bar was in worng or if the key was. well this morning i go outside and do everything step by step like the video. i jack up the front end, put jack stands under the frame rails, undo the bolt all the way, and right when it says to use the torsion tool (or c-clamp) i dont have to. the key is still sitting about an inch higher than the base of the crossmember and i can take the nut out without the tool. i thought that was extremely weird. so i try to wiggle the bar free and no luck. i tried hitting it foward towards the front and no luck and then i try pulling it out backwards and no luck. i have no pressure on the front suspension and now im just extremely pissed and confused. anyone got any ideas? heres the vid i was talking about. you can see what he did around the 1:45 mark.

If you have a 4x2 you ain't got no keys, keys are only in '02-'05 4x4s. I was always under the impression you had a 4x2, maybe got your truck mixed up with someone else's, if so you got springs. No free lift, but coil spacers are inexpensive enough.
And yes 'dog, you may be right, but you have still lost your mind, probably a childhood thing...
