You know, im not too sure on the bulbs.. haven't really looked into it too much. But as long as it's not almost completely black like most people tend to do, you should be alright.

I'm guessing they would be okay tinted if you don't do any night driving. I'd kind of like the drivers behind me to see me in plenty of time.

That is why I decided not to tint my lights as dark as most people do. I can assure you that plenty of light still shines through when braking.

I have been thinking of doing this. I installed Hella tail light kit on my truck and they're extremely bright, but more "red" colored than the stockers. So they stand out more when off.

Did you put brighter bulbs in too ?

I haven't put brighter bulbs in but I plan too soon. Where did you get yours?

Matt, I've got new Sylvania tail bulbs that I bought, installed for a day and removed. They are brighter than the stockers.

I'm not a fan of blacking out tail/brake lights. I saw a Cadillac Escalade with blacked out tails. You could barely see the brake lights and I originally thought a fuse had blown because their LED 3rd brake light was bright, uncovered and bright. Caddies have some of the largest, brightest tail/brake lights since they started using LED's. Couldn't believe someone made them dimmer than a lighter.

I think the 07-08 tail lights are kinda silly looking and weak in brightness. I would have just tossed 03-05 tails on as I believe they are better looking and brighter. Look at every other Dodge vehicle that uses that rocket design tail light and they use 2 separate bulbs for brake and turn. We've got one bulb in a small 3 inch circle. They look worse on the Dullie Ram

iownan05, Moe's Performance is where I got mine.
