question about relays
so i was thinking to disable my daytime running lights i could put in a relay that is triggered by 12v ie high beam switching on, since i dont want to go looking for my high beam wire under my dash could i use a 3 pin relay? i believe the power and the switch lead are on the same pin, a bit confused and electrical engineers here lol
i guess i only want 12v flowing to the light and anything less wont get thru (6v is being provided for the DRL's to operate)

how do you stop the bulb-fail light on the inst. panel if you take the headlight out with a relay?
I'd like my DRL's gone too, I want to move the DRL function to the turn signals and use normally closed relays that open upon sensing voltage so the DRL's work like the DRL's on the GMC minivans (Amber turn signals function as DRL's and turn signals combined).

From what I have read it is a dealer programable option. Some dealers may charge, some won't. My guess these days they will. Canada has a law requiring DRL's so the option may be hidden in all of our trucks. I have hard wired fogs that I use for DRL.
Good luck.
Good luck.
