Default Blah Blah Blah question about headers.

I know some of you have talked about this all to many times but i couldn't quite find an answer i was looking for. Basically i have a catback exaust, sc tuner, and a cai. I was looking into headers and after install theyd be a good deal of money. Are LT's really worth it. From what ive read here the one thing i know is that everybody says dont get shorties so im definitely not going to do that, but are long tubes really going to give me a noticeable boost in performance? While im at it what other mods should i look into if from this point on besides headers and a cam?

Thanks!

LT's are definitely worth it and add noticable gains right away. Be sure you add a wideband though so you can see how you are running.

Well that depends, are you planning on going cat-less or keeping them? With mine I kept the cats but opened them up to 3" in/out vs the 2.5" (?) stock, and added Pacesetters 3" Off Road Y pipe and tied it all in to my existing setup. Now you dont have to do that but my setup looks stock and sounds great.

The one thing you really want to look out for is the A/F ratio. I had to add 6% more fuel to make it run right, get rid of the KR and give an almost perfect A/F ratio under WOT conditions.

Lt's were worth it for me, no doubt and if you are going to cam your truck, most of the more aggressive cams spec headers...
