It dosent sound as nasty as the CTD's but still has the deep tone. My buddies both have CTD"s and one has 6" stacks the other has the dual behind the rears... Both are loud but the stacks is really nasty... If you dont feel like listening to anyone talk in the front seats, stay in the back.
you might get more life outta itwith the pro. but if your state uses salt on the roads like NY, well I really couldn't say. I didn't want to spend the extra 200 just for metal. I wanted a different sound from stock and that why I ordered it. its very plain jane look under the truck. isn't shiny at all. I think it's aluminanized steel. Its showing rust already but I have had it for going on 2 yrs. On the MBRP site all they say is the steel is the difference in price.
maybe ill just settle in the middle with the XP but like you here in MA there is tons of salt on the roads in the winter. All i would really care about is the tips staying shiny if washed, have yours?
Im going to get the MBRP installer series with the dual side exits in a few days myself, Autoanything had them for like $360 shipped and it sounds good in the YT videos Ive seen and I like the side exits over the traditional straight out the back pipes that everybody seems to have.
Also Ive wondered if you could just paint the pipe with High Temp engine paint (black, or gray) to prevent rust?
