Default Muffler Question

Hey, I talked to a mechanic at a muffler shop today and he asked what I was wanting to do, so I told him I wanted to put a 50 Series Flowmaster Delta Flow and he said that there were a ton on 50 Series FM's and I needed to be more specific, and that you are not supposed to put them on HEMI's. Because the air flow isn't good enough he said the only thing you are supposed to put on HEMI's are either Super 40's or some SUV 50 Series FM (which he said was a $350 muffler). Is what hes telling me true? something about it sounds fishy..... can't I just cut the old muffler and resonator off and put a PM 50 Series Delta Flow dump?.

A lot of Hemi guys seem to go away frow FM. Search around a bit more. I have the muffler youre looking for and love it but I have a 6er so the sound would be way different. That guy is full of sh!ton the price for the muffler I'd go else where.

If im not mistaken, isnt it FM that recommends the 50 for the HEMI???

Ive got a FM Delta 40 on mine and love it. However I am getting ready to change over to a pair of Magnaflows but that is ONLY because I want to see the difference. There is no issues with my FM 40

Yep, you need to NOT give THAT muffler shop your $! Although I'm not the biggest Flowmaster fan in the world, I've had a FM50HD on my truck. It was specifically designed for the Hemi engine and is marketed as such...
