I carried a Springfield Armory 1911 Commander size for about 2 years, great gun but it gets $%^&* heavy by the end of the day! I'll take the 15 rounds of 9mm Hydrashoks and the lighter gun over the heavy gun with 7 rounds of 45acp. John Moses Browning was a genious and the 1911 is a great gun but innovation moves on and I'm moving with it. I still got the 45 but it stays in the nightstand for home duty.

steve, unfortuanetly those who have never done the job will never understand. you will make more progress trying to talk to the ashphalt in the street outside. you are exactly right about the us vs. them mentality that is poisoning our society. its almost enough to make one want to give up. almost but not quite.

now i agree that a person should stand up for them selves and not have to run to the cops for every tiny problem they have. god knows we have enough to do without responding to an argument over a parking space. and while the system we have is definetly flawed it is the only system we have. and it is better than the system in any other country. if you dont agree go live there. i promise you will want to come back.

shiloh i am going to tell you some of the same things i tell the juvenile (16-17 yr old) inmates that i work with everyday. we all have decisions to make in life. some of those decisions greatly affect the rest of our lives. you are not in the childrens world anymore where you can say you are sorry and everything be forgiven. you are living in the adult world now where you are going to have to pay the consequences of your actions no matter why you took that action. think long and hard before doing anything in retaliation to these indviduals that are messing with your truck. when it really comes down to it a truck is just a material thing. is it really worth getting hurt over?

jesse you hit the nail on the head. the 1911 is a phenomenal weapon but there are better weapons out there. especially for day to day carry. thats why i carry a S&W sigma .40. it goes everywhere i go except for work.

You know, I never really got the "us vs. them" mentality until a few weeks ago and I have to admit I have fallen right into it and understand what it's about now.

11 pages later..lol..Shiloh keep us updated with what the SRO tells you.

my friends/family did that to my car when I got married. Got married mid day, and it sat there over night until the next day when the dust settled from the ceremony and all.

It stained my paint. I scrubbed and scrubbed and you could always see where that crap was on my car from then on.

I was in a similar situation as you Shiloh and I am your age too..my personal advice is try to avoid them as much as you can. park somewhere different, walk different routes to class, do whatever. Just try not to see them and things should cool down soon, they will forget all about you and find someone else to mess with. Good luck

i'd say this is petty, no repercussions on this. now if they smash your stuff, beat their asses (and yes, you can. i was 4'6'' in middle/high school, and i could whip *** on most anyone. center of balance can be your best friend, fight smart) or if they flash a gun at you, i'd f@#$ing kill 'em.
