I think you'll need to get new shocks for the front if you're gonna raise it. If there's a superchips tuner for the flex fuel 4.7 that would be a good way to get some performance and adjust the speedo for the bigger tires. When you go w/ bigger tires like 35's regearing the rear end is a good idea so you don't lose all your power. To check what gears you have now look at the tag in your glove box, on the rear axle itself for a tag, or get a build sheet from dodge.com or the dealer.

*edit* didn't realize you had a 2wd. so the below doesn't apply, but I won't erase it for others.

I would steer clear of the level blocks. Those stretch the stock shocks out and limit their abilities. They will also bottom out if driven hard. Problem with those is, yes they are cheap, but you really should get new shocks/struts with them.

I would suggest either the Bilstein lift struts or the Rancho Quicklifts. Check out Moe's Performance. The Bilsteins are $230 for both sides.HERE That will lift your truck up 2" and is a new strut within itself. 2 birds/one stone and a great price. The Rancho's are a .5"-2.5" lift strut. rancho's give you 1/2" incriments to adjust your height. Those run $355 from Moe's. HERE
Bilsteins are a good onroad/mild offroad strut and are a little stiffer than the rancho's. rancho's are more for offroad and are just a much better shock.

You WILL need an alignment when leveling your truck out.

Level kit with longer shocks (or a kit with shock relocation brackets) and an alignment and you can clear the 35s. You may encounter a little rub at full turn if the offset and backspacing on your wheels isn't enough.

No problem with lifetime powertrain, you are NOT touching the powertrain.

You are REALLY going to want to regear, especially with the 4.7 engine. If you are worried about wear on the transmission (and this would be a long term concern), then I would strongly consider re-gearing, especially if you have the cheazy 3.55 gears in the rear end. As a 4x2 owner, the expense of regearing is not a lot of $...

You can get a 1.5spacer for your truck from fatbobsgarage.com, i got the 2 but its too tall and I have a horrible clunk over potholes. I got longer shocks also, but supposedly we dont need them for the 06-08 models

It will effect your ride. You could get longer coils, if you can find them for our models, they will also degrade your ride quality. Spindles are the best way to go, and you can get them for 3-400. I wish I woulda went that way!

I think I could fit 35s, but not 12.5 ones without spacers on these rims. You might end up cutting some stuff to make them fit, im not sure. Honestly, you need a body lift to fit the 35s and not worry. Its as cheap as the dang spindles!
