Yeah, people have said it's based off the 2500 with lighter springs in it. I've also heard it has the light duty axles in it. My question is, if they're light duty, why are they 8 bolt hubs?? I'm sure it will be fun getting suspension parts for this thing. Go to Auto Zone and ask for ball joints for an 06 1500 and I'm probably gonna get ones for the IFS.

Sorry to see another 5.9 go away, but congrats on the purchase! And for the most part it is a 2500, never mind light duty BS it is a 2500 with 1500 labels.

Thanks guys. I'm really not doing as bad on the gas as I thought I would. I averaged 14.5mpg on the way home yesterday. And that was at 75-80mph on the thruway. I was only getting 12-13 on a good day with the 5.9. The only thing that hurt was with a quarter tank it still took over $60 to fill it. Found out the hard way it's got the 34 gallon tank.
