Does anyone else have steel wheels on their truck with the same problem? Every time I take the wheels off of the front, (and the back before I changed the axle) they are cut deep where they make contact with the rim. No they are not cross threaded, and the dealer replaced two sets before the warranty ran out. When they are new, they can be spun on with 2 fingers, but after they are installed, even with a cross wrench, (no impact) they have to be removed with an impact all the way off of the stud. They are then a bear to restart and have to be put back on with an impact. the studs can't be streatched either because I just got a new set, and I was able to spin them on by hand until they touched the rim.

 

The last set I had the dealer install to torque specs, and they did the same thing.
