they may work but these would be way easier, it's already to go just hook up the neg and pos that's it. here are pics before i installed it...

thats cool i can pic up one of them car chargers from someplace around town cheap im sure.....and then put em in...thanks....

Yeah I was going to say you may not want to use the USB port out of a computer. I think they typically only take 5 volts. I'm pretty sure the circuit board in the picture that fk1022 posted is what allows that to use 12 volts. You may fry something.
