You probably need to get the truck up higher. If you jack the truck up a little higher like Deviate said you should be able to pull the lower control arm down more. If I'm picturing it in my head correctly you're saying the lower control arm won't give you enough room to get the strut assembly out.

Wrote this as you were writing. Sorry bro.

Put all that stuff back in there and get you a jack under the lca. That's how you'll get it to fit all back in there.

Yeah, thats basically what the problem was. I didnt get that sway bar link all the way out, but enough to where the arm dropped enough and I got it out. Im guessing though Im gonna have to go ahead and pop that thing all the way out in order to get the assembly back in. GGrrrrr.... If I didnt drink so damn much this weekend for my bday, Id be putting'em back right now, for damn sure....

Yeah, I just took the top nut off the sway bar, removed the two bushings, popped everything else out and just dropped the lca.

Nah, I gave up for the evening. I just waited to late to start on it. Windy and cold and dark now. I was gonna set up a lamp out there, since I don't have a shoplight, but I really wanna see everything Im doing, since I don't know what the hell Im doing, haha. Live and learn....

Im banking on the fact that, like Deviate said, the other side will go a little quicker/smoother. Ive never really done anything like this before. When I lowered my little MightyMax (9 years ago!), I had a buddy helping, well, doing, I was the helper. I probably shouldn't have tackled this by myself, but Ive gotten mighty stubborn when it comes to asking for help (accept from you guys ) I was hoping to finish it up first thing in the morning, but of course, the boss called and said he had something for us to do tomorrow. And its supposed to start snowing sometime tomorrow evening, great. CRUNCHTIME!!!

Im kinda nervous about everything going back together smoothly. Like Jon said, I planned on using the jack to raise up the control arm, but its still some akward angles with these bushings/ends/joints, whatever the hell they all are! We'll see though, I'll have either the bossman or the other old man that works with me to help me after work. They both have some sorta experience with this Im sure.
