You're putting more tension on it, the opposite of disabling it. It's not possible to max it out just by cranking the stock keys but it is possible with leveling keys which gives you a very rough ride.

 

the ride is better once you put the relocation brackets in with some longer shocks. the problem is the shock is fully extended most of the time. when the truck dips in a bump it comes back up and fully extends the shock causing a very undesired rough ride. also when you put torsion keys on it will change the wear angle on the ball joints and cv axles, which in turn will cause the axles and joints to wear within a matter of months. and if you plan on raising the back end at all be prepared to replace the pinion bearing and cup within a couples months too seeing as the torque angle changes causing wear angle changes.

the new truck, i regret going with 4" exhaust....quickly switched that out for 5".....nothing like throwing money away

Dare I say... the only thing I regret is aftermarket tortion keys......

When I could have gotten the same LEVEL out of stock keys! And i think that is what you are both eluding too! Yes you can probably go higher with some aftermarket keys, BUT it will shred your cv's.

SO who is next with regrets!!!!

 

I bought a TB spacer when I was like 17-18, got screwed on my first eBay mesh grille, douche bag sent me chicken wire cut to fit in the grille. Other than that, I wish I hadden't just dumped $800 worth of exhaust into my 5.9 then traded it bout 3wks later. But, in my defense, I had no plans at the time to trade it.

 

I'd take the $800 loss to get a mega cab.

 

do you get a lot of static on your stock seat also is it just the fabrice? Everytime I get out and touch the door i get shocked!
Only regret cranking the stock torsion keys threw my alignment out bad. And grill inserts they didn't line up

 

why's that? im getting mine done tomorrow morning over the rail line-x. ive already scratched it to hell putting coolers in the bed over the side.
