You want it louder than straight pipes throw on some long tube headers, leave the cats off, and dump it 2ft after the header collector... You wont be able to hear yourself think

I have yet to determine whether or not this is a serious thread. There's not really a fine line between wanting a loud effective exhaust and just being obnoxiously retarded. Like others have mentioned, you already lost you back pressure which is helpful to the motor.

 

i am running straights but with the cats, i also had a y-pipe installed, sounds good... i checked about the back pressure and if it would burn my valves and they said it wouldnt so i aint to worried about it.. and believe it or not it really aint that loud, just a really low deep sound on my dodge,.
