Default Think my effective gear ratio will be too low?

Well its time for me to get new tires. Right now I have an 08 4x4 with 265/70/17 SR-A's, IMO not bad for OEM equipment. I've got 40k on them.

I want to go for bigger more aggressive look since I'll be getting a 2" spacer. I'm getting Terra grapplers in either 285 or 295 width. Problem is, I have a 3.55 gear ratio and I can't really afford 1500 bucks to get 4.56 on top of the 1000 on tires.

So, I checked out what my new effective gear ratio will be. Is the original gear ratio of 3.55 with the 245/70/17 tires which are 30.5 inch (tire that came in base models) or are they the 265/70/17s (31.5's, what I have).

Heres what I calculated

Assuming that the 30.5 inches are original tire size and going up to:
285/75/17 (33.8 inches) --> 3.2 ratio
295/70/17 (33.2) --> 3.26
285/70/17--> 3.31

Assuming 31.5 is orig tire size:
285/75/17 (33.8 inches) --> 3.3 ratio
295/70/17 (33.2) --> 3.36
285/70/17--> 3.41

I rather think that the 285/70/17 look a tad small in the wheel wells so that is my last choice. I think my first choice is the 285/75/17 since they fill the wheel well very good but they will yield the tallest gear ratio. Do you think my gear ratios will be too tall running any of these tires? I don't do much towing at all except hauling my boat (5k total including trailer) on saturdays down the street (less than 2 miles) to the ramp.

Also I know the 295 tire will rub, any recommendations of spacers? If i do run spacers, I want the least possibility of damage.
