Default Can anyone help?

I have an '06 Ram MegaCab that, for some reason, the cab lights go off in the truck within maybe 10-15 seconds of opening the door. Obviously, this makes it difficult at night to clean it out. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I bought the truck used so there is no owner's manual. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Is your dimmer switch turned all the way down?? The manual says the lights are supposed to stay on for 10 min if you leave the door open. You may have to take it to a dealer to have it reset in the BCM. The manual doesn't say anything about adjusting the time.

The dimmer switch is turned up as far as it will go without clicking over. I didn't have this problem for the longest time after I bought the truck, but all of a sudden it got a mind of its own. I guess I will just take it to the dealer.

There is a software update for the cluster for that issue.

Technical service bulletin 08-026-06 is the bulletin that deals with that issue, just a flash for the cluster.
