Just bought a 04 2500 and the door locks are driving me nuts. Locked me out twice. Can't leave it running and close the door because it locks me out. Is there a way to disable this feature?

 

lol...i've done that. You need to go through your owners manual and llok through it. i cannot remember where, possibly in the door lock section??? There are a few options available

 

Yeah i removed my auto lock and unlock using some directions from the manual. I have it somewhere so i have to look. Also disabled the 15mph auto lock feature as well.

 

Anybody got an 04 owners manual? Didn't get one with the truck, need to disable this door lock feature before it disables me.

 

You can download a manual from Dodge. Mine only locks at 15mph. On these chilly mornings, I often let it warm up before I get in it. I'd be irked if it locked me out.

 

ughh i think its an aftermarket thing! cuz i looked all over my manual and searched it (adobe PDF) and it only gives me the option to disable locking after 15mph.. i also have an 04 ram 1500 and when i start the truck it locks the doors and it caused me to break my rear window! cost me 350 for a new window.. Lol anger got the best of me i guess. Anyways yes if anyone knows how to disable this feature plz post it!
