Default Just finished changing plugs and oil....

Plugs werent too bad. but i also have a body lift that made the back 4 on the drivers side a helluva lot easier. i dont know how you guys without the BL do it. i mean they still sucked, but it couldve been worse! of course i did those first and then had a beer and then the rest were a breeze. old plugs werent bad. not sure if they were the originals cause i got the truck with 38k on it. i replaced them with the same champion coppers. all in all the plug job took about 2 hours, but thats also stopping to have 3 beers! heres the old ones:

drivers side:

passenger side:

then came the oil change which is a piece of cake. went with royal purple 5w20.... same as last time. the stuff is great.

so between friday and today ive cleaned and oiled my intake, cleaned my throttle body, put in a 180 thermostat, seafoamed the engine, changed the front brakes, changed the plugs, changed the oil, reset the pcm, and installed the 87 perf tune with my SC. i was averaging 8.5mpg (overhead) so i reset that and ill see if anything changes over the next week or two. besides that my basic maintenence is done. only thing left is trans and diff fluids, but thatll be in a few months...

Very nice job bro. Good you're keeping up on that maintenance. Plus you got some little extra's with the thermostat in there. Very cool.

Plugs look about like mine did after 66k miles - factory originals.

When you say you "seafoamed the engine", do you mean you just added SF to the gas and let it run through? Or is there another procedure I'm not familiar with?

i sucked the seafoam through the vacuum line that goes to the brake booster. if you seach seafoam youll see how to do it. its pretty easy, just time consuming.

I just changed mine as well. Go with the OE champions, they seem to hold up awsome. My truck had 79k and they looked great besides the gap.
