i currently have flowmaster super 40s muffler single in single out with a Y pipe after the muffler dualing it out to two 5 inch tips (i custome made outa stacks). i choose the single out with the Y pipe over the dual out because its louder. i did my exhaust purly for noise not for power. it sounded amazing at first but i just dont think its loud enough. first off i dont want straight pipe, i want it to b as loud as you can get it with out cutting off the cat or muffler. im thinkin long tube headers with highflow cats and SLP loudmouth mufflers. any ideas?

 

cold air intake. made my truck twice as loud with my flowmaster SI/DO set up. they make an electronic exhaust cutout and it opens and sounds like an open header dragster haha.

 

i already have cold air, and cut outs r kinda pricy with huge back preasure loss

 

Cherry bomb vortex is the loudest muffler I have ever owned! great sound great flow!!

 

I just cut off my FM 40 tonight. LT headers are going up and off to the exhaust shop I go on Thurs.

I had 2.25 tru duals/no mufflers on mine for awhile.... u want loud???

I'm running 2 Flow 40's now.... just got tired of that straight pipe slappin...

 

I got the LT's with high flow cats and just took off my super 40. It was pretty loud but nothing special. Try one of those single chamber flowmasters, I hear they are pretty loud. Or just get a cutout.
